My Everyday Autumn/Winter Makeup|Drugstore
Although I love makeup, I like keeping my day-to-day beauty routine simple. Light foundation, mascara, a bit of highlighter and maybe contour, and blush! Occasionally I will do a cat eye or darker lipstick (most days I don't even really wear it.)
I hope you all enjoy this post as I do writing it!
First, I rinse my face with warm water and apply my moisturizer and a light coat of the Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Powerless foundation using my Real Techniques Beauty Complexion Sponge.
After that, I fill in my eyebrows using the Loreal Brow Stylist Pencil in Brunette. I start by brushing my brows up using the spoolie on the end of the pencil and lightly filling in the gaps using light, hair-like strokes. (I've been growing out my brows for a couple months now and they are pretty awkward right so ignore that)
Next I move onto contouring- This is something I only really do during the cooler months for some reason but I have such a round face and this helps add that dimension back in after applying foundation. I tend to stick to a more "natural" contour and one of the best ways to do that is by using a stippling brush. The Real Technique's brush is the one I use the most.
After that I move onto mascara! This is the step that always pulls the look together, in my opinion. I've been loving the Loreal Superstar mascara. It's double ended- one side is a primer and the other is mascara. I apply the primer and while it's drying I like to sweep on some blush- lately I've been liking the Elf baked blush in Peachy Cheeky. Before the primer is dry and has a little bit of tackiness to it, I apply 1-2 coats of mascara. This combo works so well and I get compliments on my lashes whenever I use it!
Next is possibly my favorite part! Highlighter! This stuff makes my dull, dry skin look fresh and dewy and the two I've been using lately is the Revlon PhotoReady SkinLights Face Illuminator in Pink Light and the Elf Golden Bronzer palette. There are 4 shades in the Elf palette and you can swirl them all together or use each individually. I usually mix the golden/champagne and light pink color for the prettiest rose gold sheen!
The last step is lips! If I'm in a rush, I usually just put on a lip balm really quick but lately I've been wearing Clay Crush from Maybelline.
Makeup done! This takes me no more than 10 minutes so it's super easy to achieve in the morning! What other makeup looks would you like to see? Let me know in the comments!
