My Boyfriend's 6 Favorite Songs Right Now
David Bowie- Moonage Daydream
You'll be able to tell if you like this song or not in the first 5 seconds (which you will. Or not..we'll just never be friends). But being serious, it's a David Bowie classic and I find it very inspirational as I do with most of his early work.
Frank Sinatra- Fly Me to the Moon
Another classic but it's not the typical song I'd choose to listen to. If you're not into this type of sound, at least listen to the big break at 1:08.. It's pretty amazing. "In other words," you should listen to this song.
Mac Demarco- She's Really All I Need
I've only listened to Mac Demarco for about a year now and this is the latest song I've discovered of his. I love the vibe it has- mellow, spacey, and a little bit "off" which is the typical Mac Demarco sound that made me like him in the first place.
Fleet Foxes- Tiger Mountain Peasant Song
I've known this song for awhile now but I recently rediscovered it, and I'm glad I did. It's beautifully written and Robin's vocals are amazing..as always.
The Teeth- Ball of the Dead Rat
This is like if the Ramones and a modern-indie band had a baby and the offspring was inspired by Motown. Why not, right?
Melody's Echo Chamber- I Follow You
The guitar in the intro instantly drew me in and when the rhythm section came in, I knew I was hooked. I could tell it had a very familiar sound so I decided to look it up, and it turns out it was produced by Kevin Parker from Tame Impala.
